SSBGC 2019 Annual General Meeting- Summary Report

· Election of 2020 Board Officers
Nominees were:

There were no nominations from the floor.
These five nominees were elected by acclamation.
· There was a very brief discussion of the new World Golf Handicap System to be
inaugurated by the USGA (SCGA) on January 1, 2020. Members must
become familiar with the new system in order to correctly post their scores.
· A proposal to eliminate the Knuth Stroke Reduction system as currently constituted was not adopted.
· A proposal to eliminate prizes for Putts and add same amount to net score awards was not adopted.
· A proposal to have 3 flights for 36 or more players instead of the current 40 was adopted.
· A proposal to base the Club Championship series upon Stroke Play, not our traditional “Match” play (MPC) was not adopted. But a proposal from the floor to designate the traditional series “Head-to-Head” rather than “Match”
play was adopted.
· A proposal to add “low gross” prizes was withdrawn.
· A proposal to allow any player, at time of signup, to choose from which teeing ground he wishes to play with
appropriate adjustment in Course Handicap Strokes was not adopted.
